DHAKA: Saida Muna Tasneem, recently appointed Ambassador of Bangladesh to Thailand and the Permanent Representative of Bangladesh to the UNESCAP, handed over her Letter of Introduction to the Executive Secretary of UNESCAP Dr. Shamshad Akhtar Wednesday at the ESCAP Secretariat in Bangkok.
 
During the meeting, Permanent Representative of Bangladesh reaffirmed the commitment of Bangladesh to work closely with the UNESCAP to enhance technical and capacity building cooperation in the areas of regional connectivity and integration, energy connectivity, sustainable development and trade facilitation.

The Executive Secretary praised Bangladesh’s continued engagement and contribution to ESCAP’s works for the inclusive and sustainable economic and social development in Asia and the Pacific.
