DHAKA: Licenses of 69 agencies have been cancelled on charge of trafficking 11,485 people into Saudi Arabia in the name of umrah hajj.

As per degree of crimes, the agencies were also fined up to Tk 2 crore, said religion affairs minister Principal Motiur Rahman.

The minister, at a press conference at secretariat in city on Wednesday, said that the guarantee money of a total of 95 agencies, including license-cancelled 69, has been seized.

The agencies will also face fine and other punishment, the minister added.
