DHAKA: Law enforcers on Wednesday detained four fake members of detective branch (DB) of police while they were trying to kidnap a businessperson from Paikpara area of Mirpur in city.

Police also rescued businessman and seized a walkie-talkie and hand-cuffs from their possession.

Mirpur Model Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Bhuiyan Mahbub Hasan confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Necessary actions would be taken against the detainees, he added.
