DHAKA: At least five people of a family sustained burn injuries as a gas cylinder exploded at Natun Court Talla Boro Bari area of the district Thursday morning.

The injured were identified as ready made garment (RMG) worker Minara Begum, 28, her husband Monir Hossain, 35, nephews Ripon, 25, and Arif, 16 and her 5-year old son Minhaj.

Of the injured, four were admitted to the Burn Unit of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), while another one was admitted to a local hospital, reported banglanews DMCH correspondent.

DMCH Burn Unit physicians told banglanews that Minara Begum sustained 40 percent burn injuries while her husband Monir Hossain sutained around 23 percent burn injuries.
