FROM RALLY: The Bangladesh-Bhutan-India-Nepal (BBIN) Friendship Motor Rally 2015 flagged off from Phuentosholing on Saturday (November 21) morning.
It will cross 168 kilometers and night halt in Thimpu.
Phuentosholing mayor Setendranji, police super Ming Tesring and Indian consular general Pijus Datt flagged off the rally on Phuentosholing border this morning.
November 22, a seminar will be held in Thimpu on BBIN.
Starting from Thimpu, the friendship rally will cross Dochula, Sephu-Chazam Trongsa and night halt at Bhumthang on November 23.
Earlier on November 20, flag off from Gangtok, the rally will pass Pedong, Rishop, Lava, Chalsa and night halt at Phuentosholing.
It would cover 4,223-km in 19 days in three countries by around 20 vehicles and 80 participants would achieve a new milestone in regional integration among four countries.
From Bangladesh, a six-member team led-by home ministry deputy-secretary Nirod Chandra Mandal joined the rally with other members including second secretary of National Board of Revenue Shahidul Islam, Roads and Highways Department deputy director Maqsudur Rahman, director (port and Customs) Syed Md Bathtiar, Shyamoli Paribahan manager Nayon Kumar Ray and Banglanews24.com senior correspondent Mazadul Haque.
