DHAKA: Law enforcers have introduced three-tier security at Dhaka Central Jail in the city Saturday evening.

Lalbagh Zone deputy commissioner (DC) Mofizuddin Ahmed confirmed the matter to banglanews.

‘The security has been tightened in the area. But additional security measures have been taken increasing it to three-tier to avoid any untoward situation,’ he said.

According to the DC, police, RAB and jail security forces are involved in three-tier security measures in the area.

Central Jail sources said that this sort of security measures is usually taken prior to the execution of war criminals.
