DHAKA: Maritime ports of Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar and Mongla have been advised to hoist local cautionary signal number three as deep convection is taking place over North Bay.
Squally weather may affect North Bay, adjoining coastal area of Bangladesh and the maritime ports, said a Met office release here Tuesday.
All fishing boats and trawlers over North Bay have been advised to come close to the coast and proceed with caution till further notice.
In association with rain or thunder showers temporary south south-easterly gusty or squally wind speed 45-60 kph is likely to occur over the regions of Rajshahi, Rangpur, Pabna, Bogra, Tangail, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Faridpur, Jessore, Kushtia, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Comilla, Chittagong, Cox`s bazar and Sylhet wherein river ports shall hoist cautionary signal number one.
