PATUAKHALI: A youth allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself after conceiting to his parents centering marriage of his sister on Tuesday at capital’s Uttara.

The deceased was identified as Ratul, 35, a businessman and son of Jatiya Party (JP) former lawmaker Sarder Abdur Rashid.

Sources said family members found Ratul hanging in his bedroom with ceiling fan around 11:00pm at their residence at Uttara in the capital.

He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where on duty doctor declared him dead.

Ratul’s uncle Sanu Sarder confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Ratul allegedly committed suicide as his father fixed his sister’s marriage without his opinion.
