CHANDPUR: Two youth were electrocuted in front of LGED office in Taltola area of the district on Saturday.

The deceased were identified as Khokon Mia, 26, son of Azhar Ali from Sholaghar area and Alamgir Hossain, 28, son of Abul Bashar, hailed from Shahorasti area of the district.

Witnesses said Khokon was repairing cable connection in front of LGRD office to set up dish line. At one stage, he came in contact with an electric wire.

Alamgir also came in contact with electric wire when he went to save Khokon, leaving them injured critically.

They were rushed to Chandpur General Hospital where on duty doctor declared them dead.

Medical officer of the hospital M Shirajul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
