GAZIPUR: Readymade garment workers attacked an Ansar Camp in Bhogra area and looted four firearms and 135 round bullets on Monday morning.
Sources said hundreds of garment workers brought out a protest procession demanding salary and allowance hike on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway in the morning.
At one stage, agitating workers entered an Ansar camp of a garment.
To bring the situation under control, Ansar members opened fire three rounds of bullets. Later, the agitating workers attacked Ansar personnel and looted four firearms and 135 rounds bullets.
At least four Ansar members were injured in the incident.
Sadar Upazila Ansar VDP officer Nur Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.
