Bashundhara Group has extended support for Rishita Raisa, daughter of a former journalist of banglanews24.com who is suffering from a rare disease.

Rishita, a 3.5 year girl suffers from Hirschsprung disease that affects the large intestine (colon).

Bashundhara Group Director Sabrina Sobhan handed over a check worth of Tk 1 million to Rahman Masud, father of Rishita, at her residence in the capital on Friday (June 24).

Managing Director’s Son Walid Sobhan and daughter Arisha Afroza Sobhan, Bashundhara Group Media Advisor Mohammad Abu Tayeb were also present on the occasion.

Rahman Masud is a journalist who works for NewsBangla as a special correspondent. He worked for Banglanews24.com once.

In reaction, Rahman Masud expressed gratitude to Bashundhara Group for supporting the treatment of his young child who has been undergoing treatment in India for last couple of months.
