A clash broke out between police and BNP leaders and activists at Khulna Railway Station on Saturday afternoon (October 22).
The clash ensued when police restricted people, who came to attend the divisional rally of BNP in Khulna, Banglanews correspondent reports.
Sonali Sen, Additional Deputy Police Commissioner of Khulna Metropolitan Police said the situation is being brought under control.
Earlier in the day, BNP began its divisional mass rally at Sonali Bank premises in Khulna this noon where thousands of leaders and activists of BNP and its associate bodies have gathered in front of the district's Sonali Bank premises to make the rally successful.
They were seen joining the rally chanting various slogans.
BNP is organising the third divisional rally in Khulna today protesting the increase in price of daily essentials including rice, lentil, oil, gas, water, electricity, apart from murder-disappearance, corruption-misrule.
The party from the event will also demand national parliamentary elections under a non-political-neutral government, formation of new election commission and the dissolution of parliament.
