Newly-appointed Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Pranay Kumar Verma and Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir on Saturday (Nov 12) exchanged pleasantries at a cultural programme in the capital.

Indian Association of Bangladesh, Dhaka (IABD) organised the programme at International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB), marking the Deepawali festival.

Spouse of High Commissioner Pranay Kumar Verma and spouse of Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir were also present.

They also posed for a photo session at the programme.

Deepawali Utsav aims to conquer evil and spread light over darkness.

The event showcased a cultural performance by Indian community in Dhaka followed by musical night featuring Bollywood’s renowned playback singer Abhijeet Sawant.
