Former Justice Golam Rabbani, a veteran jurist of the country, passed away on Monday (Nov 14) at the age of 85. 

The former judge breathed his last around 12:45pm.

Supreme Court Appellate Division's registrar Mohammad Saifur Rahman confirmed the matter.

After a long association with the legal profession, he became a judge in 1992. He retired from the judiciary in 2002.

Golam Rabbani is also renowned as a writer. He has written several books on law. His book CPC is being used as reference. 

Besides, he has written several books on liberation war and Islam.
