Police recovered the bodies of a man and his son from a flat in the capital's Badda area on Wednesday (Feb 28) night.

The deceased were Gias Uddin, a school teacher and his son Rakib Hossain, an electrician by profession.

According to police, they found the body of Rakib hanging from the ceiling fan while the body of Gias was on the bed. The bodies were sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital for autopsies.

Badda police station sub-inspector (SI) Shahabuddin Munshi confirmed the matter.

He said police are primarily suspecting that the son might have committed suicide and the father might have suffered heart attack.

The autopsy reports would dig out the exact reasons behind the deaths, the official added.
