COMILLA: The rail communications of Chittagong with Dhaka and Sylhet came to a halt since early Saturday following the derailment of four compartments of a Dhaka-bound container train in Nangalkot area of the district.

The derailment took place at around 2:30am. On information, a rescue train from Feni rushed to the spot at 4:00am and started rescue operation to clear the rail track.

Confirming the matter, Comilla railway assistant engineer Irfanul Islam told banglanews that Feni railway authority is looking after the matter.
