DHAKA: Attorney general Mahbube Alam commented that the execution of verdicts, handed down to BNP leader Salahuddin Quader Chowdhury and Jamaat-e-Islami secretary general Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mujahid, is matter of time.

He made this comment at the post-verdict press conference on Wednesday (November 18).

The attorney general said the Panjab University’s duplicate certificate that was submitted to the court was issued in 2012. The Court did not accept it.

‘Moreover, the convict did not mention it in his 2013 deposition.’

About Mujahid verdict, Mahbube Alam expressed his gratitude to the court.

‘The Jamaat leader got the punishment for his role in intellectual murder case.’

He further said, ‘If we could not get the verdict, then we could not get satisfiction’.
