DHAKA: A youth, who was found bullet-hit, died at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) at the wee hours of Thursday.

The deceased could not be identified immediately.

Duty officer of Darus Salam Police Station, assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Mohammad Ali told banglanews that another ASI of the thana Gautam rescued the bullet-injured person from Balurmath area of Gabtali in city around 11:30.

He had taken him to DMCH where on duty physician declared him dead on arrival around 12:15am, he added.

He further said they came to know about exchange of firing with detective branch (DB) of police in the area.
