DHAKA: A Dhaka court sentenced four people to death for killing four members of a family in south Keraniganj one year back.

Dhaka District and Session Judge SM Kuddis Zaman passed the order on Thursday and also acquitted one from the charge.

Case statement reads, the convicts killed four of family in Kadampur area of Keraniganj on September 25 in 2014.

Later Basir Uddin, brother of slain Saju, filed a case.

On January 16 of 2015, police submitted charge-sheet.

The convicts are — Moniruzzaman Sumon, Jakaria Hossain, CNG Sumon, Nazir Uddin and Afsana.

They gave confessional statement after being arrested.
