DHAKA: Police detained two people for interrogation over the firing at a mosque at Shibganj upazila in Bogra district early Friday.

In the drive conducted between Thursday night and Friday dawn, a team of police picked up Anwar, 48, and Jewel, 25, and taken them to police custody.

At least one devotee was killed and three sustained injuries as a group of miscreants opened fire at a mosque at Shibganj upazila in Bogra district on Thursday after maghrib prayers.

Later, Sona Mia, treasurer of the mosque, filed a case with Shibganj Thana in this connection.

Bogra additional police super Arifur Rahman Mandol informed the development to banglanews.
