DHAKA: Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday (July 22) telephoned his Bangladeshi counterpart Sheikh Hasina to discuss various current issues related to the coronavirus pandemic and flood.
The two prime ministers spoke for about 15 minutes after Imran Khan called at 1:00 pm, said press release signed by Prime Minister’s Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim.
The release said after exchanging greetings, Imran Khan wanted to know about the initiatives taken by the government to tackle the Covid-19 situation in Bangladesh.
In response, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina described various social and medical measures taken by her government, said the release.
The Pakistan premier also enquired about the flood situation of Bangladesh and Sheikh Hasina briefed him about the overall situation, the release added.
