Inspector General of Police Abdullah Al Mamun has said that we have no information on whether fugitive accused Rabiul Islam alias Arav Khan was detained by Dubai police. 

He said it to journalists today (Mar 25) after a programme at Pan Pacific Sonargaon hotel in Dhaka. 

The IGP also said Interpol has issued a red notice against Arav Khan and we are communicating with Interpol.  

Earlier, Interpol issued a red notice against fugitive accused Arav Khan, owner of Dubai's Arav Jewellers.

He is the 63rd Bangladeshi to be in the Interpol's wanted list.

Earlier on April 11, 2019, Detective Branch of police pressed charges against Arav Khan and nine others in the murder case of Mamun Emran Khan, the then inspector of special branch of police.
