The police arrested five people alleged of demanding extortion after inviting a person to their home for tea and taking obscene pictures in Sadar Upazila of Noakhali.

The arrestees were identified as Mohsin Titu, Jobeda, Nargish Akhtar, Ismat Ara, and Zaheer.

The accused were made present before Noakhali Chief Judicial Magistrate Court on Wednesday (Nov 2) afternoon.

District Superintendent of Police (SP) Md. Shahidul Islam confirmed the matter to Banglanews. 

He said that the police arrested five members of the blackmail gang after receiving the complaint. The accused have been sent to jail through judicial courts.
